Shirleyann Burgess

Background & Training:

I have been practicing bodywork for seventeen years. In the early years of the profession I was trained as an energy worker and Reiki II practitioner. I graduated from a 1,000 hour massage program at Potomac School of Massage in Washington, DC. I have kept up my massage certification since 1996. I continued my training with cranial sacral therapy, deep tissue massage, zero balancing, connective tissue massage, yoga, somatic education, Rolfing® Certification through the Rolf Institute, Rolf Movement Certification in Brasil and continue to educate myself as to further my understanding of the bodies ability to reach it's highest potential. I bring my love of learning to my clients through the gift of tools that they can choose to take into their daily lives.

I specialize in working with all ages and walks of life. My style of bodywork focuses on:

  • 2. Stress Reduction and Relaxation
  • 3. Sharing tools for clients to use outside of their session
